Florida Correctional Officer Arrested
MAYO, Fla. — The Florida Department of Corrections’ Office of the Inspector General announced the arrest of correctional officer Jessica Fernandez. Fernandez is charged with sexual misconduct, money laundering, unlawful compensation/bribery, introduction of contraband and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.

Information, which if released, would jeopardize a person’s safety. § 945.10(1)(e), F.S.
Information regarding a victim’s statement and identity. § 945.10(1)(f); 119.071(2)(j), F.S.
119.071[2][e], F.S., exempting all information “revealing the substance of a confession” by a person arrested until there is a final disposition in the case.
