FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | October 1 - October 31, 2020

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Gulf Correctional Institution: October 1, Inmate Thomas Eichelberger (E51353) assaulted a staff member by striking them in the arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On October 6, Inmate Kelvin Summage (H30783) assaulted an officer by pushing them against the wall. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On October 6, Inmate Shedrick Partin (T44111) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Annex: On October 6, Inmate Quantez Ealy (C03113) assaulted an officer by pushing them with their shoulder. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Walton Correctional Institution: On October 8, Inmate Sebastian Guevara (C09641) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On October 8, Inmate Darryl Kirksey (J29471) assaulted an officer by grabbing their hand through the cell flap. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Florida Women’s Reception Center: On October 8, Inmate Jessica Marquardt (L92168) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Correctional Institution: On October 8, Inmate Robert Claridy (V26042) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Mayo Annex: On October 9, Inmate Jeremiah Higgins (131629) assaulted an officer by jumping on them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On October 12, Inmate Wilson Viglione (165163) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On October 14, Inmate Jonathan Hunter (G13435) assaulted an officer by striking them with an improvised weapon. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Reception and Medical Center: On October 14, Inmate Ernest Gordon (U30850) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On October 15, Inmate Jacob Hill (J46878) assaulted an officer by punching them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Walton Correctional Institution: On October 16, Inmate Lazaro Campos (191632) assaulted an officer by striking them with a food tray. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Taylor Correctional Institution: On October 18, Inmate Ocelyn St. Cyr (L79185) assaulted multiple officers by kicking, headbutting, spitting and biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Jefferson Correctional Institution: On October 18, Inmate Mario Priester (L20572) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Liberty Correctional Institution: On October 19, Inmate Joshua Heard (C08896) assaulted an officer by striking them with a food tray. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On October 19, Inmate Kevin James (980482) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Lowell Annex: On October 19, Inmate Gabriela Gomez (S36361) assaulted an officer by striking them with a food cart. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On October, Inmate Josalien Profete (166006) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On October 22, Inmate Joshua Thomas (T47951) assaulted an officer by headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Annex: On October 23, Inmate Quantez Ealy (C03113) assaulted an officer by striking them with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On October 24, Inmate Barrett Alexander (K82474) assaulted an officer by striking them with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Everglades Re-Entry: On October 25, Inmate Michel Hernandez (M40843) assaulted multiple officers by striking them with a closed fist. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On October 25, Inmate Christopher Powell (Q14462) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On October 25, Inmate Jose Diaz-Concepcion (C10143) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On October 26, Inmate Terrance Barnett (H10892) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Okeechobee Work Camp: On October 29, Inmate Quinshun Daniels (D44830) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On October 29, Inmate Orion Roberts (X67131) assaulted an officer by headbutting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

New River Correctional Institution: On October 30, Inmate William Theus (815961) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
