FDC Assault Advisories | September 7 – September 13, 2021
This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.
Union Correctional Institution: On September 3, Inmate Jahzan Garcia-Vasquez (N90613) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Everglades Re-Entry: On September 4, Inmate Trenton Johnson (L87088) assaulted an officer by attacking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Wakulla Annex: On September 4, Inmate Hunter Isaacson (G27246) assaulted an officer by striking them with his elbow. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Avon Park Correctional Institution: On September 5, Inmate Deandre Guyton (P63118) assaulted an officer by striking them with an improvised weapon. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
New River Work Camp: On September 5, Inmate Earnest Crawford (523383) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Charlotte Correctional Institution: On September 6, Inmate Kacy Joseph (L70576) assaulted an officer by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Walton Correctional Institution: On September 8, Inmate Jakob Hunt (C50789) assaulted an officer by punching them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Florida State Prison: On September 9, Inmate Antwon Anderson (C05253) assaulted an officer by striking them with an improvised weapon. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Tomoka Correctional Institution: On September 9, Inmate Joseph Moll (P32167) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Tomoka Correctional Institution: On September 10, Inmate Joseph Moll (P32167) assaulted an officer by grabbing them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Columbia Annex: On September 11, Inmate Jeremiah Mayhue (C60208) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
Santa Rosa: On September 11, Inmate Jason Turem (C07109) assaulted an officer by kicking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Florida State Prison: On September 13, Inmate Rafael Quintanilla (135531) assaulted two officers by striking them with an improvised weapon. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
Hardee Correctional Institution: On September 13, Inmate Lee Johnson (135321) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
