FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS

FDC Assault Advisories | July 20 – July 26, 2022

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Wakulla Annex: On July 20, Inmate Fernandito Carpio (X81705) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On July 20, Inmate Michael Swisher (G61127) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On July 20, Inmate Nelson Robinson (353448) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On July 21, Inmate Richard Bryson (1323950) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On July 21, Inmate Earl Campbell (M30674) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On July 21, Inmate Robert Parker (D31486) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On July 21, Inmate Dwayne Williams (140802) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On July 23, Inmate Shanqualas Boyd (W80283) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Tomoka Correctional Institution: On July 23, Inmate Navin Soomair (Q80044) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On July 23, Inmate David Montalvo (L87901) assaulted an officer by striking them in the eye. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Wakulla Annex: On July 24, Inmate Franklin Higginbotham (123594) assaulted an officer by kicking them in the knee. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Lawtey Correctional Institution: On July 24, Inmate Ricky Neris (Y38069) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On July 25, Inmate Jakob Hunt (C50789) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On July 25, Inmate Jarred Jenkins (N27563) assaulted officers by biting them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On July 26, Inmate Lonnie Devane (J33845) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On July 26, Inmate Michael Stiles (U24489) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On July 23, Inmate Johnny Burgess (U05762) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On July 26, Inmate Keenan Joyner (M49249) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On July 26, Inmate Darreus Barnes (T76057)assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On July 26, Inmate Terry Cook (460229) assaulted an officer by striking them in the arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Hamilton Annex: On July 26, Inmate Michael Hoechst (C51387)assaulted an officer by hitting them  in the arm with an improvised weapon. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.
