FDC Assault Advisories | October 5 – October 11, 2022

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Dade Correctional Institution: On October 7, Inmate Roy Jones (F21306) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Suwannee Annex: On October 7, Inmate Travis Peacock (A50810) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Dade Correctional Institution: On October 7, Inmate Edgardo Rivera (G41495) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On October 7, Inmate Scott Burleigh (B13910) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On October 7, Inmate Lamarsh Shelly (B07077) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Martin Correctional Institution: On October 9, Inmate Courtney Tillman (X87068) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Reception Medical Center: On October 9, Inmate Patrick Jasniak (D11298) assaulted an officer by biting them in the hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On October 9, Inmate Frederick Elizondo (I51328) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Correctional Institution: On October 9, Inmate Sylvester Simmons (E26919) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On October 10, Inmate Dave Petit-Homme (M93968) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Everglades Correctional Institution: On October 10, Inmate Juan Melendez (M47615) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On October 10, Inmate Douglas Gannon (166018) assaulted an officer by striking them. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On October 11, Inmate Cameron McGirt (L99663) assaulted officers by striking them in the heads and faces. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Outside medical treatment was recommended.

Lowell Correctional Institution: On October 11, Inmate Destiny Boice (N41613) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Wakulla Annex: On October 11, Inmate Quinell Allen (M72085) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Tomoka Correctional Institution: On October 11, Inmate Timothy Robinson (393789) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Desoto Annex: On October 11, Inmate William Chandler (168780) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

South Florida Reception Center: On October 11, Inmate Davidson Auguste (C21648) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.
