VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | January 4– January 10, 2024

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Holmes Correctional Institution: On Sunday, January 7, visitor Lestanae Woodside was visiting inmate Tracey Mackey (270583) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 284.1 grams of Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV). The visitor was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail.

 Central Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, January 7, visitor Angela Brown was visiting inmate Samuel Sweeney (W92087) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue.

 Reception Medical Center: On Sunday, January 7, visitor Tiera Jones was visiting inmate Noble Geathers (588243) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

 Reception Medical Center: On Sunday, January 7, visitor Sayla Whylie was visiting inmate Maurice Evans (U32646) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 3.6 grams of marijuana, and the visitation was terminated.

 Lawtey Correctional Institution: On Sunday, January 7, visitor Venessa Perez was visiting inmate Gary Miller (524944) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 5 grams of marijuana, and the visitation was terminated.

 Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On Saturday, January 6, visitors Zamara Reid and Jazmaine Parker were visiting inmate Jarell Clark (C61798) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 2.7 grams of marijuana, and the visitation was terminated.

 Union Correctional Institution: On Saturday, January 6, visitor Laquanita Webb was visiting inmate Renaldo Mcgirth (U33164) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

 Baker Re-Entry: On Saturday, January 6, visitor Kamala Mitchell was visiting Jeremy Mitchell (I10388) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

 Martin Correctional Institution: On Saturday, January 6, visitor Yajaira Crestal was visiting inmate Zhane Carn (B03046) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

 Walton Correctional Institution: On Saturday, January 6, visitor Jamaya Jackson was visiting inmate Jahill Butts (I21520) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

 Walton Correctional Institution: On Saturday, January 6, visitor Sheri Arnold was visiting inmate Diquan Arnold (P50476) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

 Santa Rosa Correctional Institution: On Friday, January 5, a visitor was visiting inmate Jerrame Jacks (Q19483) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 5 grams of marijuana and the visitation was terminated.
