Visitor Contraband Interdiction | November 24 – 30, 2022

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Holmes Correctional Institution: On November 24, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of marijuana paraphernalia, a firearm and 9 rounds of ammunition outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.

Lowell Annex: On November 26, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 11.8 grams of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.

Baker Re-entry: On November 27, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 26 grams of cigarettes wrapped in cellophane during a pat search. The visitation was terminated.

Lawtey Correctional Institution: On November 27, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 21 grams of marijuana outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On November 27, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 3.5 grams of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia outside the institution. The visitation was terminated.
