Visitor Contraband Interdiction | December 22 – 28, 2022

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On December 24, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 192 grams of a mixture of fentanyl and cocaine, 36 grams of marijuana, and 19 grams of tobacco during a pat search. The visitation was terminated. The visitor was arrested.
