Visitor Contraband Interdiction | January 12 - January 18, 2023

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Everglades Correctional Institution: On January 15, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 11.8 grams of marijuana, 1.1 grams of cocaine and a piece of marijuana paraphernalia outside the institution. The visitation was terminated. The visitor was arrested.

Hamilton Annex: On January 15, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 10 grams of THC, 2.8 grams of bath salts and marijuana paraphernalia outside the institution. The visitation was terminated. The visitor was arrested.
