VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | February 1 – February 8, 2024

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Central Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, February 4, visitor Latasha Henderson was visiting Inmate Lorenzo Barney (R62785) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Reception and Medical Center: On Sunday, February 4, visitor Samantha Swenson was visiting Inmate Dylan Sullivan (135200) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 4 grams of marijuana and two grinders. The visitation was terminated.

Lancaster Work Camp: On Saturday, February 3, visitor Jonnetta Green was visiting Inmate John Jones (K11758) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 3, visitor Felicia Childs was visiting Inmate Michael Dre Lamb (D47786) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 3, visitor Shelanda Scarlett was visiting Inmate Roy Scarlett (H32444) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Central Florida Reception Center: On Saturday, February 3, visitor Megan Ryan was visiting Inmate Randell Love (533229) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 3, visitor Bianca Francois was visiting Inmate Alvin Scott (M62988) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 3 grams of marijuana, a handgun and seven rounds of ammunition. The visitation was terminated.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 3, visitor Chenelle Dorcely was visiting Inmate Frederick Tolbert (W53274) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 10.6 grams of marijuana, and the visitation was terminated.
