VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | February 15 – February 21, 2023

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Hamilton Annex: On Saturday, February 17, visitor Chenette Tillman was visiting Inmate Ariel Thomas (T04394) when staff discovered 38.8 grams of methamphetamines and 37.7 grams of cocaine. The visitor was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

Walton Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 17, visitor Andrekia Tisdoly was visiting Inmate Demarcus Alexander (M80586) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Okaloosa Work Camp: On Saturday, February 17, visitor Kenny Bush was visiting Inmate Damian Bush (P62442) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Everglades Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 17, visitor John Shultz was visiting Inmate Ronald Singh (K75990) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Okaloosa Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 17, visitor Mikah Payne was visiting Inmate Andetrius Bivins (G41185) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Everglades Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 17, visitors Brenotta Owens, Alexis Richardson and Nalej Williams were visiting Inmate Marcel Smith (K60007) when a K9 alerted to the visitors’ vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Lawtey Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 17, visitor Julius Hill was visiting Inmate Jaylen Sweptson (C10320) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.
