VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | February 22 – February 28, 2024

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Okeechobee Correctional Institution: On Sunday, February 25, visitor Amy Faison was visiting Inmate Keith Griffin (V06551) when staff discovered smoking paraphernalia. The visitor was arrested by Okeechobee Sherriff’s Office for introduction of contraband and transported to jail.

Central Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, February 25, visitor Davonne Miller was visiting Inmate Bryant Smith (G13945) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Central Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, February 25, visitor Charlotte Wilson was visiting Inmate Octavious Norton (T05985) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Sago Palm Reentry: On Sunday, February 25, visitor Zondre Grant was visiting Inmate Deontre Richardson (Q71689) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Suwannee Annex: On Sunday, February 25, visitor Susan Blanco was visiting Inmate Andrew Hernadez (X89672) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 2 grams of marijuana and 3 vape pens. The visitation was terminated.

Suwannee Correctional Institution: On Sunday, February 25, visitors Preston Fucci and Dylan Hicks were visiting Inmate Adian Fucci (P71813) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Martin Correctional Institution: On Sunday, February 25, visitor Raymond Robinson was visiting Inmate Terrell Robinson (M68132) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 24, visitor Tecoria Jones was visiting Inmate Andre Applewhite (X82406) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 24, visitor Johnathan Morales was visiting Inmate Johnathan Morales Jr. (W29491) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 24, visitor Laura Alicea was visiting Inmate Rechae Edwards (T66637) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Mayo Annex: On Saturday, February 24, visitor Natasha Telamour was visiting Inmate Dimitry Telamour (X29563) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Taylor Correctional Institution: On Saturday, February 24, visitor Kendrick Matt was visiting Inmate William McDonald (H40522) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Desoto Annex: On Saturday, February 24, visitor Karen Pripe was visiting Inmate Oree West (H40736) when staff discovered 6 chargers wrapped in electrical tape, and the visitation was terminated.

Mayo Annex: On Saturday, February 24, visitor Jasmine Brown was visiting Inmate Michael Fields (149701) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 50 rounds of ammunition and 6.1 grams of marijuana. The visitation was terminated.
