VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | February 29 – March 6, 2024

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Central Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, March 3, visitor Ines Jonjic was visiting Inmate Malik Lawson (E57690) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Baker Re-Entry: On Sunday, March 3, visitor Laconia Perry was visiting Inmate John Parrish (D49177) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Apalachee Correctional Institution: On Sunday, March 3, visitor Taylor Burger was visiting Inmate Khalil Lang (X99746) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, 94.5 grams of MDPV, 56 grams of tobacco, three $100 bills, and 53.9 grams of THC. The visitor was arrested for introduction of contraband and trafficking. The visitor was transported to Jackson County Jail.

Union Work Camp: On Sunday, March 3, visitor Alesia Johnson was visiting Inmate Jahron Robinson (I30046) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Union Correctional Institution: On Sunday, March 3, visitor Laquanitia Webb was visiting Inmate Renaldo McGrith (U33164) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Marion Correctional Institution: On Saturday, March 2, visitor James Fredrick IV was visiting Inmate James Fredrick III (X61958) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Florida Women’s Reception Center: On Saturday, March 2, visitor Bianca Vandvenheuel was visiting Inmate Neya Beckford (K20308) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Homes Correctional Institution: On Saturday, March 2, visitor Shauntavia Green was visiting Inmate Tydarian Moore (S28230) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 29.8 grams of cocaine, and the visitor was arrested for introduction of contraband and trafficking cocaine. The visitor was transported to Holmes County Jail.

Lowell Annex: On Saturday, March 2, visitor Gerald Delancey was visiting Inmate Lula Delancey (836796) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Lowell Annex: On Saturday, March 2, visitor April Edwards was visiting Inmate Simone Littles (155381) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Lowell Correctional Institution: On Saturday, March 2, visitor Dimas Rodriguez was visiting Inmate Terry Tillman (V50537) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 2 grams of marijuana, and the visitation was terminated.
