Visitor Contraband Interdiction | June 1 - June 7, 2023

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On June 4, staff witnessed a visitor attempting to discreetly pass contraband to an inmate. The inmate was found to be in possession of 14 strips of Suboxone, 29 grams of Fentanyl, 3 grams of THC and 1 cell phone. The visitation was terminated. The visitor was arrested.
