Visitor Contraband Interdiction | August 4 - 10, 2022

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Reception and Medical Center: On August 6, staff observed a visitor attempting to conceal a package in the restroom. The package was recovered from restroom, which was found to include Fentanyl. The visitation was terminated and the visitor was arrested for introduction of contraband and possession of narcotics.

Martin Correctional Institution: On August 6, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 57 grams of cocaine during pat search inside the institution. Their visitation was terminated.
