Visitor Contraband Interdiction | August 11 - 17, 2022

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Hamilton Annex: On August 14, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession 9 grams of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia outside the institution. Their visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On August 14, staff discovered a visitor to be in possession of 8.9 grams marijuana and 37.2 grams of tobacco of during pat search. The visitation was terminated, and the visitor was arrested for introduction of contraband.
