VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | November 2 – November 8, 2023

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, November 5, visitor Jaymika Wright was visiting inmate Simmie Pickett (J48698) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Polk Work Camp: On Sunday, November 5, visitor Destini Froese was visiting inmate Tyler Morris (T70775) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered the visitor to be in possession of marijuana and the visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 5, visitor Sharika Andrews was visiting inmate Adrian Price (T82385) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 5, visitor Alyssa Laeela was visiting inmate Ernest Parker (T50102) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search of the visitor’s vehicle was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 5, visitor Tiffany Taylor was visiting inmate Marquavious Jones (J43301) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Upon a consented search of the vehicle, staff discovered the visitor to be in possession of marijuana, a pill crusher and a scale. The visitation was terminated.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 5, visitor Matthew Terrell was visiting inmate Robert Terrell (800999) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search of the visitor’s vehicle was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Columbia Annex: On Sunday, November 5, visitor Tara Daniels was visiting inmate Reginald Daniels (J10510) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Upon a consented search of the vehicle, staff discovered the visitor to be in possession of marijuana, and the visitation was terminated.

Avon Park Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 5, visitor Alyssa Romanowiz was visiting inmate Derik Morton (E27057) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Upon a consented search of the vehicle, staff discovered the visitor to be in possession of 0.7 grams of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a handgun and 10 rounds of ammunition. The visitation was terminated.

Martin Correctional Institution: On Saturday, November 4, visitor Yuvika Jeanty was visiting inmate Zabrien Muff (S60998) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Upon a consented search of the vehicle, staff discovered the visitor to be in possession of 64.6 grams of bath salts. Visitor Jeanty was arrested by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and transported to jail.

Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On Saturday, November 4, visitor Helena Messina was visiting inmate Joshua Vega (K85473) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search of the visitor’s vehicle was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Jefferson Correctional Institution: On Saturday, November 4, visitor Alexandra Holly was visiting inmate Jacobee Flowers (R47252) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered one 9mm handgun and the visitation was terminated.

Gadsden Re-Entry: On Saturday, November 4, visitor Myisha Thomas was visiting inmate Rashard Jackson (N24364) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Hardee Work Camp: On Saturday, November 4, visitor Tayshia Coburn was visiting inmate Kevin Colon (R86160) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Sago Palm Re-Entry: On Saturday, November 4, visitor Angela Jenkins was visiting Bobby Jenkins (B15352) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) residue and the visitation was terminated.

Suwannee Annex: On Saturday, November 4, visitor Susan Thomas was visiting inmate James Padgett (G41378) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Union Correctional Institution: On Friday, November 10, visitor Christina Luckett was visiting inmate Michael Bargo (U41472) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Wakulla Correctional Institution: On Friday, November 10, visitor Juana Sevilla-Lagos was visiting inmate Jose Elvir Carcamo (S71844) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.
