VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | November 16– November 22, 2023

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Polk Work Camp: On Sunday, November 19, visitor Sylvia Steverson was visiting Christopher Samuel (R14965) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 19, visitor Nikita Johnson was visiting inmate Brian Akins (166825) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Hamilton Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 19, visitor Zoe Hall was visiting inmate Jerry Allen (I15066) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered the visitor to be in possession of one rolling tray, one pack of rolling papers and 0.3 grams of marijuana. The visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 19, visitor Bryanna Roarks was visiting inmate Dustin Sheffield (C31219) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered the visitor to be in possession of a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) vape pen and marijuana. The visitation was terminated.

Franklin Correctional Institution: On Sunday, November 19, visitor Azie Jamison was visiting inmate Stephon Ford (X79268) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered the visitor to be in possession of 1.2 grams of marijuana. The visitation was terminated.

Sumter Work Camp: On Saturday, November 18, visitor Annie Bryant was visiting inmate Bland Crumbley (R40123) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Columbia Annex: On Saturday, November 18, visitor Cheyenne Manning was visiting inmate Alan Manning (D48262) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered the visitor to be in possession of 3.6 grams of marijuana and a vape pen. The visitation was terminated.

Sumter Correctional Institution: On Saturday, November 18, visitor Antrilla Jenkins was visiting inmate Tommy Jenkin (026067) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Sumter Correctional Institution: On Saturday, November 18, visitor Annette Sheets was visiting inmate David Sheets (G70418) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Desoto Annex: On Saturday, November 18, visitor Charlisa Alexander was visiting inmate Raymond Gaines (E39575) when a K9 was alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Columbia Annex: On Saturday, November 18, visitor Ashley Stone was visiting inmate William Stone (141655) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.
