VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | November 23 – November 29, 2023

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, November 26, visitor Shawya Hagens was visiting inmate Tremelle Powell (A40500) when the staff discovered the inmate to be in possession of 49 grams of cocaine and 11 grams of marijuana. The visitor was arrested for the charge(s) of introduction of contraband and was transported to jail by the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Okaloosa Work Camp: On Saturday, November 25, visitor Serina Chambers was visiting inmate Vonderious Boyd (N30779) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Reception Medical Center: On Saturday, November 25, visitor Janay Rodgers was visiting inmate Maurice Mcqueen (149049) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

South Florida Reception Center: On Saturday, November 25, visitor Latorin Junior was visiting inmate Torin Robinson (453079) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Baker Re-Entry: On Saturday, November 25, visitor Anita Buie was visiting inmate Scotty Walton (510342) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and a grinder. The visitation was terminated.

Taylor Correctional Institution: On Friday, November 24, visitor Chehala Brown was visiting inmate William Gilbert (166616) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered 6.3 grams of marijuana and the visitation was terminated.

Calhoun Correctional Institution: On Friday, November 24, visitor Tuggy Logsdon was visiting inmate Bart Logsdon (X41567) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered 3 grams of marijuana and the visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On Friday, November 24, visitor Courtney Maglione was visiting inmate John Maglione (469859) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) vape pen and the visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On Friday, November 24, visitor Kenya Bouie was visiting inmate Eric Jones (129967) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Polk Correctional Institution: On Thursday, November 23, visitor Linda Gandy was visiting inmate Timothy Sermons (H22640) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Polk Work Camp: On Thursday, November 23, visitor Mary Waldrop was visiting inmate Tristan Patton (W81581) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana and the visitation was terminated.

Florida State Prison: On Thursday, November 23, visitor Kayla Watson was visiting inmate Clifford Jackson (W91321) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Mayo Annex: On Thursday, November 23, visitor Michelle McClinton was visiting inmate Lee James (G00847) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Zephyrhills Correctional Institution: On Thursday, November 23, visitor Craig Sule was visiting inmate Coleman Sule (595871) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue and the visitation was terminated.

Lawtey Correctional Institution: On Thursday, November 23, visitor Gregory Days was visiting inmate Anthony Brown (G21723) when a K9 alerted to the visitor's vehicle. Staff discovered a handgun and 35 rounds of ammunition. The visitation was terminated.
